Dune 45, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Coastal Cliffs, Seal Colonies

Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Nukluft National Park of Namibia. The name “Sossusvlei” is often used in an extended meaning to refer to the surrounding area (including other neighbouring vleis such as Deadvlei and other high dunes), which is one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia.

Check In Time

Please ensure that you check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled take-off time. This will allow enough time for us to do the necessary paperwork, take weights and conduct a safety briefing.

Meeting Point

Depending on your arrangements, you can either meet as at the Swakopmund Airstrip or at the office where transport are also available.


All passengers  get a window seat. Please be aware that seating allocation are done by the pilot according to weight and balance which is done during your safety briefing.


It can be quiet windy with the doors off so we suggest you put on a jacket / jersey before boarding the helicopter. It’s also best for people with medium to long hair to tie down their hair.

Taking Pictures

We do  remove the helicopter doors upon request, to enable optimal photo graphics. Please note that when the doors are off, it can get windy.

Only one small bag are allowed per passenger with a max weight of 5kg.


All flights are weather dependent, due to heavy fog at the coast. In case the weather conditions are not playing along for flying, we will do our best to reschedule to the next best available flight. We suggest you book your flight within the following time frames to avoid disappointment.

Summer (Oct – Apr) 10:00 – 17:00 Hours.
